Filming & Photography

Over the years, we have worked with national and international film companies. We have worked with other private film and production companies as well as well known organisations such as the BBC and ITV for film, news and documentary, Lakes Production, Mersey Television, Lomond Television, Anglia Television, Lakes Production and NHK (Japan).

We also welcome professional photographers who have created incredible images here for commercial and private use.

Locations

When you are looking for that perfect setting, chances are we have something that just might work. At Dalemain, we can offer parkland, high fells, woodland, rivers and lakes. There is medieval to Georgian architecture and even a crenelated castle.

We can offer a wide variety of Interior and exterior locations are available, including:

  • The Mediaeval Hall;

  • The gravelled driveway to the front of the Mansion and the Mansion exterior;

  • The cobbled, mediaeval courtyard to the rear;

  • Parkland and woodland;

  • Farm buildings and farm land;

  • Moorland, rivers, fords, bridges;

  • Private metalled and unmetalled roads; and

  • A castle exterior.

Organised events & commercial activity in the North Eastern Fells

A whole raft of activity has been organised in the Lake District and we may be able to help you if you wish to organise something in the North Eastern Fells. These are not just commercial events. In the past, there have been guided tours, films, photography, sponsored walks, pony rides, swims, charity marathons, biking and much more. If you would like to organise something in Martindale, Mosedale (Carrock and Bowscale), Patterdale, Grisedale, in Ullswater or on Barton Fell then contact us. You must gain permission from Dalemain for any activity that you plan to do other than those specifically covered by the Countryside Rights of Way Act (2000).
